Blagrave Trust feedback 2022!

Throughout 2022, we invited all applicants and partners to provide us with some anonymous feedback regarding their grant experience with the Blagrave Trust. This year, the number of partners completing the survey rose as we implemented a new way of working, sending out questionnaires more consistently. We now have a response rate of 36%. These higher response rates mean we can review our processes and ways of working with more knowledge. At Blagrave, we have critically assessed all the feedback received from the four key grant making surveys including:

  • End of Grant Survey: Completing a three-year funding relationship.
  • Monitoring our Grant Agreement Survey: Interactions during the second and third year of funding relationship.
  • Grant Offer Agreement Survey: Successful applications/applicant
  • Outline Proposal Survey: Unsuccessful applications/applicant

Overall, the feedback remains very positive. One key performance indicator is the percentage of partners who would recommend us to family and friends, and this remains at 100%, which is an important indicator that our approach is effective.

However, we have seen slight dips in some of the feedback around the application process. Explanatory comments seem to indicate this is associated with the fact that in 2022 we ran several competitive call outs, but at the moment it is not possible for us to investigate further as we did not differentiate feedback by funding stream. In the coming year, we plan to associate feedback with funding stream so we can interrogate further.

In addition, we have limited feedback from individuals perhaps because our surveys aren’t written with them in mind and so aren’t appealing to them to complete. As our work continues to grow, we will be launching different surveys for organizations and individuals.

We have reflected on the data and have identified where we have and can improve, and the full report can be found here. Blagrave is committed to consistently adapting our work and evolving in response to what we learn and want to thank everyone who has participated.
