When developing our Leading with Hope strategy, we undertook extensive research and consultation to identify where long-term investment could have the greatest impact. Portsmouth stood out as a place with a large and diverse population of young people, significant need, and, crucially, strong local organisations, networks and community leaders already working to support young people and create change.

We are building on the relationships we've built through our regional programme over the past decade.  Through existing grant partners we have seen first-hand the energy, creativity and determination of young people who are already making positive change happen. Our role is not to arrive with answers, but to listen deeply, build relationships and invest alongside communities in what they believe is needed most. 

Portsmouth's future will be shaped by the people who live there. We want to play our part in ensuring that young people have the resources, influence and spaces they need to help lead that future.
